An alleged attack by the Saudi-led coalition warplanes targeted the Yemen TV buildings in Sana'a, on September 11, 2015
Several sources on news sites claimed that the Saudi-led coalition warplanes targeted the Yemeni television compound buildings, which resulted in destroying the equipment both the Yemen satellite tv and the Sabaa satellite tv, in addition to damaging the neighboring residential areas. A source on a news site claimed that the shelling of the television compound was an unjustified action, as the compound since its establishment, a military unit has been assigned to protect the television compound from any storming or military coup events. The shelling led to the destruction and burning of parts of the Yemen satellite tv and Al-Iman satellite tv buildings, and to the complete burning of the Saba satellite TV channel building. Several sources on Twitter and Facebook claimed that the attack was carried out with several airstrikes.A source of a news report on YouTube claimed that the attack was a direct hit, where the video shows the moment of the attack, other footages show the destruction on the tv building from the inside and out. While a source of a news report on YouTube claimed that targeting led to an explosion of a weapons warehouse, which led to the falling of the missiles shrapnel on the nearby neighborhoods.
